Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has finally announced the much awaited IBPS PO Notification 2017 today. As per the IBPS PO notification, online registrations for IBPS PO 2017 will start from 16th August 2017 and would be open until 5th September 2017.

The much-awaited IBPS PO notification for the year 2017-18 is finally out. There are no changes in the IBPS PO Exam schedule, however, IBPS PO Mains has a different Exam pattern. Read on to find out the highlights of IBPS PO 2017 Notification.

#1. IBPS PO Participating Banks and IBPS PO 2017 Vacancies

According to this IBPS PO Notification, there are only 3562 vacancies in the IBPS PO 2017-18. Click below to check out the IBPS PO Official notification.

#2. IBPS PO 2017 Exam Schedule 

According to IBPS PO Notification, the online registration for IBPS PO 2017 Exam will open on 16th August 2017 and will remain open until 5th Spetember2017.
The notification also mentions the last date to pay fees for IBPS PO as 5th September 2017.

According to the IBPS PO Notification, the exam dates for IBPS PO 2017 Prelims remain unchanged. And IBPS Mains will be held on 26th November 2017.

#3. IBPS PO 2017 Eligibility Criteria

IBPS PO Eligibility – Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be either –
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
IBPS PO Eligibility – Age As on 01.08.2017
A candidate must be Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1987 and not later than 01.08.1997 (both dates inclusive).

IBPS PO Eligibility – Educational Qualifications (As on 05.09.2017)
According to the IBPS PO Notification, minimum educational qualification to appear for IBPS PO 2017 is a “Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet/Degree Certificate that he/she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.”

#4. IBPS PO Exam Pattern (Prelims & Mains)

According to the IBPS PO 2017 Notification, IBPS PO Prelims Exam pattern remains the same, however, there is a new exam pattern for IBPS PO Mains.

The IBPS PO Mains will be held for 3 hours, and English Descriptive paper for IBPS PO Mains will be held for an additional 30 minutes for Letter Writing and Essay Writing.

IBPS PO – Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary and Main examination)
There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which the wrong answer has been given by the candidate one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

#5. IBPS PO 2017 Application Fees

According to the IBPS PO Notification, candidates can apply online only from 16.08.2017 to 5.09.2017 and no other mode of application will be accepted. Application Fees for IBPS PO is payable from 16.08.2017 to 05.09.2017 (Online payment), both dates inclusive.

Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the Candidate.
