Officially AP TET 2017-18 Exam Notification Released – AP TET 2017-18 Goes Online!

AP TET 2017-18

AP TET 2017-18 notification has been released by the Andhra Pradesh’s Human Resource Minister, Mr. Ganta Srinivas Rao on 13th December 2017. This is the 1st AP TET notification that has been released after the division of Andhra Pradesh. Applicants can start filling their registration forms from 18th December 2017.

The mode of AP TET 2017-18 examination is online. However, AP-TET eligibility remains same as the previous year and,  AP TET examination is conducted for 150 marks and the examination will be conducted for 2.5 hours.

  • Starting Date to Submit Online Application – 18th December 2017
  • Last Date to Submit Online Application – 30th December 2017
  • Download of Hall Tickets – 1st January 2018
  • Date of Examination Paper 1 & Paper 2 – 17th to 18th January 2018
  • Date of Result Declaration – 8th December 2018

AP TET Notification 2017-18 – ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The candidates at the time of applying for AP TET 2017-18 should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications prescribed for category of I to V classes (Paper- I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper – II) separately

Minimum Qualification for Paper 1 –

a) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However, in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%

 AND

pass in 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

(OR)

b) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%

AND 

pass in 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education/ 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education. (B.El.Ed.)/ 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates, who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed/ D.Ed., course prior to the issue of these guidelines.


Minimum Qualification for AP TET PAPER-II (CLASSES VI TO VIII):

a) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In case of SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% 

AND 

pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course/ Bachelor of Education(B.Ed -Special Education).

AP TET 2017-18 Notification – Exam Pattern 


Candidates who want to become a teacher for the Class I – V should give paper-I and the candidates who want to become a teacher for the class VI – VIII should give
Paper- II. 
However, a candidate who intends to become a teacher either for Class I-V or for Class VI – VIII should have to give both the Paper i.e. Paper I and Paper II.

(b) Duration of Examination: 2 hours and 30 minutes:

Weightage of TET SCORES in the TEACHER RECRUITMENT of the State:

A 20% weightage to TET scores will be provided in the Teacher Recruitment of the State Government, balance 80% weightage will be for Written Test in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) based on which selection lists will be prepared.
