Karnataka TET (KAR TET)

Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test (KarTET) is conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Department. It is a compulsory exam for candidates aspiring to become teachers in the Primary or Secondary school affiliated to the Karnataka State Government. All candidates must be B.ED qualified to be eligible for the KarTET exam.

Fees for KARTET

Service Charges will be charged Rs: 10/- extra by the Bank The fee can be remitted in the following way: Through Computer generated Challan by depositing the prescribed fees in Cash to CAC Account with State Bank of Mysore.

Application Procedure: 4 Simple steps to be followed to apply online.

  • STEP 1: Fill in the Online Application Form with “Registration” and “Login”
  • STEP 2: “Personal Details” & Generate Challan to pay examination Fee at SBM
  • STEP 3: Upload Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature
  • STEP 4: Download Confirmation page / Generate Application Form 3 The Candidate particulars can be edited before downloading the challan.

Once the payment of fee has been made or challan downloaded, candidate particulars cannot be edited at this stage. Thereafter corrections cannot be allowed.

Eligibility  Certificate.

The NCTE has the below guide lines for the eligibility of candidates for the Karnataka TET:

1. Candidates appearing for Karnataka TET should have scored a minimum of 50% in their senior secondary education (12th Standard)/ Diploma/PUC

2. They need to be either B.Ed/D.Ed qualified with a minimum of 50% marks. Students who are doing a combined degree of B.A and B.Ed, B.SC and B.Ed are also eligible.

5% relaxation in qualifying marks is provided for SC, ST and differently abled candidates.
