Manipur Teacher Eligibility Test 2016

The Government of Manipur has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Manipur Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) to the Board of Secondary Education which shall be conducted annually.

Fee For MTET:

1. General Category

a. Rs. 500/- (Five hundred) for Paper I or II :

b. Rs. 800/- (Eight Hundred) for Paper I & II both

2. MST/ Differently Abled Category

a. Rs. 250/- (Two hundred only)

b. Rs. 400/- (Four Hundred) for Paper I & II both

It is to be noted that if a candidate has been allowed to appear in the Manipur Teacher Eligibility Test it does not imply that the candidate’s eligibility has been verified. It does not vest any right with the candidate for appointment. The eligibility shall be, finally verified, by the concerned recruiting /appointing authority.

Eligibility

Educational Qualifications for teaching Classes I to V and VI to VIII:

(A). Candidate must possess among following minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming teacher for Classes I to V (Primary Section): Educational Qualification:

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or
  • Appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (By Whatever name known).or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.) or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or
  • Appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) or
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education(by whatever name known)

Reservation: Relaxation upto 5% in qualifying marks for the candidates of reserved category as per State Govt. norms.

(B). Candidate must possess among following minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming teacher for Classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary Section):

Educational Qualification Maximum Age: 33 years as on 01/12/2015 (age relaxation to SC and ST candidates as per norms)

  • Educational Qualification Maximum Age: 33 years as on 01/12/2015 (age relaxation to SC and ST candidates as per norms)
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed). Or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or
  • Appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El.Ed.) Or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or
  • Appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A Ed./B.Sc. Ed. Or
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed Or
  • Appearing in I-year /B. Ed. (Special Education) Reservation: Relaxation upto 5% in qualifying marks for the candidates of reserved category as per State Govt. norms.

Paper 1: For Candidates wanting to become teacher of grade I to V.

The Manipur Government successfully conducted the TET exam in the month of October, 2012 and have announce results for the same. To find out your results please visit -http://bsem.nic.in/index.html

The 2016 notifications for Manipur TET is yet to be announced.
